Slipknot Drummer Jay Weinberg Departs Band

Slipknot has announced that they have "parted ways" with drummer Jay Weinberg, who joined the band in 2014. The band thanked Weinberg for his dedication and contribution to their last three albums, but stated that they are intent on evolving creatively. Weinberg has not yet made a statement on the situation. Slipknot previously said goodbye to another longtime member, Craig Jones, earlier this year. The current lineup of Slipknot consists of Corey Taylor, Shawn 'Clown' Crahan, Mick Thomson, Sid Wilson, Jim Root, Alessandro 'Vman' Venturella, and Michael Pfaff.
