Mötley Crüe Guitarist Mick Mars Sues Band Over Touring Dispute

Mick Mars, the guitarist for Mötley Crüe, has filed a lawsuit accusing his bandmates of pushing him out of the group and cutting him out of its future profits after he announced his retirement from touring due to chronic pain from an inflammatory disease. Mars claims that the band convened an emergency shareholders’ meeting to throw him out of the band, fire him as a director of the corporation, and take away his shares. The lawsuit also sheds light on the band’s tumultuous personal relationships, accusing bassist Nikki Sixx of making decisions on the band’s behalf without consulting his bandmates.
