Former Smiths drummer Mike Joyce appeared on BBC Breakfast to pay tribute to his late bandmate Andy Rourke, hailing his "perpetual" musical legacy. Joyce said Rourke was a self-effacing character who never realised how momentous his contribution towards music was. Rourke died after a lengthy illness with pancreatic cancer.
