Metallica's Robert Trujillo's Terrifying Hideout: The Manson Family Shootout

Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo revealed in a podcast interview that he and his family once had to hide in a shower during a shootout between the Manson Family cult and the Los Angeles Police Department. The cult had planned to rob a gun store and hijack a plane, demanding the release of their leader, Charles Manson. Trujillo described the experience as eerie. The altercation occurred in 1971, and Manson and his followers were later found guilty of various crimes, including murder. Metallica is currently on tour promoting their album 72 Seasons.
