Metallica Secures Vinyl Production with Purchase of Pressing Plant

Metallica has purchased Furnace Record Pressing, a vinyl pressing plant in Virginia, to keep up with the growing demand for their vinyl business. The band has been working with Furnace for almost a decade, and the plant has helped them keep most of their albums available, as well as release ambitious box sets. Metallica's vinyl sales have been consistently high, with the US accounting for roughly half of their vinyl sales worldwide. The purchase will ensure that potential vinyl buyers will have continued access to high-quality records in the future. Furnace will continue to work on other projects, as well as ones for Metallica, and plans to invest more in the future.
