Metallica Bassist's Terrifying Encounter with the Manson Family

Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo revealed in a recent podcast interview that when he was 6 years old, he and his family were caught in the middle of a shootout between the Manson Family and the police in the Hawthorne area of Los Angeles. The Manson Family had planned to rob a gun store, hijack a plane, and demand the release of Charles Manson. However, the plan failed, resulting in a shootout. Trujillo and his family hid in the shower while police helicopters circled overhead. The incident led to the conviction of four Manson followers and the imprisonment of Manson himself. Trujillo is currently on tour with Metallica.
