Jimmie Allen Faces Sexual Assault Lawsuit and Festival Removal

Jimmie Allen has been dropped from the 2023 CMA Fest lineup and suspended by his record label following accusations of rape, sexual assault, and harassment. The singer has also been removed as commencement speaker by Delaware State University. Allen has taken his Twitter account private and disabled comments on his Instagram page. In response to the allegations, Allen admitted to having a consensual sexual relationship with the woman accusing him. The allegations were first reported by Variety, and a civil suit has been filed against Allen and his former manager. No criminal charges have been filed.
