Jay Weinberg Departs Slipknot, Leaving Drumming Duties Vacant

Slipknot announces the departure of drummer Jay Weinberg after a 10-year stint with the band, following his replacement of original drummer Joey Jordison in 2013. The band thanked Weinberg for his dedication and contributions to their last three albums but did not disclose the reasons for his exit. Slipknot stated that they are making a creative decision and wish Weinberg all the best for the future. Weinberg, son of Bruce Springsteen's drummer Max Weinberg, joined Slipknot in 2013 and made his official debut on their fifth studio album.
