Granger Smith Leaves Country Music for Ministry, Son's Tragedy Inspires Change.

Country artist Granger Smith, known for his alter ego Earl Dibbles Jr., has announced that he will be retiring from music after an upcoming summer tour to pursue a life in ministry. Smith has spent 24 years in the music business and has struggled with reconciling his desire for adulation as a performer with his desire to serve God. He will be releasing a book about the loss of his son and will be serving his local church. His final tour will start on April 13th and end with two final shows in Fort Worth on August 25th and 26th.
