Brenda Lee's 'Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree' Tops Charts 65 Years After Release

Brenda Lee's classic holiday song "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" has reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time, 65 years after its release. The song, produced by Owen Bradley, initially peaked at No. 14 in 1960 but has now become only the third holiday song to reach No. 1 on the Hot 100. Lee, now 78, expressed her gratitude for the support from her label, UMG Nashville, and credited the song's success to the collaboration of many people. The song gained popularity after being featured in the film Home Alone in 1990. To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the song, Lee filmed its first official video, featuring cameos from Tanya Tucker and Trisha Yearwood.
