"15-year-old pianist wins prestigious Cliburn Junior Piano Competition"

15-year-old Seokyoung Hong from South Korea won the Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition 2023 after a stunning performance of Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Second prize went to 14-year-old Chinese pianist Yifan Wu, and third place to Czechia’s Jan Schulmeister, aged 16. The competition was established in 2015 to support and encourage outstanding pianists aged 13 to 17.
