CMA Fest: A History of Big Crowds and Major Moments.

CMA Fest 2023 kicked off with thousands of fans and country music in downtown Nashville. Alcohol sales at the Riverfront stage were "innumerable," with at least a thousand drinks sold by noon. Lauren Alaina performed to enthusiastic fans and reminded attendees of her newest album, "Unlocked," dropping on June 9. The gates at Riverfront Stage were temporarily closed as capacity for the venue had been reached. The festival requires clear bags for entry and all vendors and venues are cashless. The weather is expected to be sunny with temperatures starting in the low 80s. The lineup for Thursday includes Lainey Wilson, Elvie Shane, Lauren Alaina, and Luke Combs at Nissan Stadium.
