Jonathan Glazer's 'Zone of Interest' receives standing ovation at Cannes for audacious Holocaust drama.

Jonathan Glazer's film "Zone of Interest," loosely adapted from Martin Amis' novel, tells the story of Rudolf Höss, the camp commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp and his family living just over the wall. The film received a warm reception and glowing reviews at its premiere at Cannes. Glazer worked with researchers who went through survivor testimonies and production designer Chris Oddy visited Auschwitz and the Höss home. The film will be released by A24 in the U.S. after its in-competition premiere at Cannes.
