Ghostface Rights Battle Looms Over Scream 7

Paramount and Spyglass are asking a court to block Alterian Ghost Factory from pursuing a separate claim over who owns the Ghostface mask, arguing Alterian never established the rights and sat on them for decades, while Alterian contends it owns the underlying design; the feud rides into the release of Scream 7 on Feb. 27, 2026 and could extend beyond the film.
