Comedian Sarah Silverman announced on Instagram that her father, Donald Silverman, passed away on May 11. She shared that her family surrounded him with love and singing during his final week, and that he wanted to be with his late wife, Janice. Silverman invited fans to donate to the Second Nurture charity in lieu of holding a Shiva. Many of her celebrity friends, including Alison Brie, Judd Apatow, and Chelsea Handler, sent their condolences. The loss of her father comes a week after Silverman lost her stepmother, Janice.
