SF Pride Cuts Ties with Dee Snider Over Transphobic Tweet

Dee Snider's planned performance at SF Pride has been cancelled after he voiced support for Paul Stanley's transphobic tweet. SF Pride had planned to use Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" as the unofficial rallying cry for the event. Snider, who has been a longtime ally of the LGBTQ+ community, had tweeted in support of Stanley's tweet, which cast doubt on young trans people's ability to self-identify their gender. SF Pride called the tweet "heartbreaking and angry" and said that even allies need to be educated to ensure they are not promoting transphobia.
