"Alec Baldwin Pleads Not Guilty to 'Rust' Shooting Charges"

Alec Baldwin pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter for the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust" and waived his right to an arraignment. He was previously charged with the same crime in January 2022, but the charges were dropped in April due to the need for further testing on the firearm. The actor maintained that he never pulled the trigger, but the FBI ruled that the revolver couldn't have fired without the trigger being pulled. The film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, has also been charged with the same crime and is awaiting trial. If convicted, Baldwin could face 18 months in prison.
