Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter sued for alleged rape.

Melissa Schuman, a former member of the girl group Dream, has filed a lawsuit against Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, accusing him of raping her in 2003 when she was 18. Schuman previously came forward with the allegations in 2017. Carter has denied the allegations and accused Schuman of attempting to extort him. Schuman's lawsuit accuses Carter of using his power and status to sexually assault her and then manipulate and torment her afterwards. Carter is also facing another sexual battery lawsuit in Nevada.
