Brian Beneker, a script coordinator and freelance writer for CBS's SEAL Team, is suing the network and its parent company, Paramount Global, alleging discrimination based on his race, sex, gender, and sexual orientation. Beneker claims he was denied staff writing positions in favor of nonwhite, LGBTQ, or female peers without the same qualifications. He is seeking damages for lost salary and a full-time job as a producer. CBS declined to comment on the lawsuit.
