Robert Aramayo stunned the BAFTA crowd by winning Best Actor for I Swear, beating Leonardo DiCaprio and a field that included Timothée Chalamet and Ethan Hawke. The Rings of Power star delivered an emotional speech, thanking director Kirk Jones and the real-life John Davidson, whose Tourette syndrome story anchors the film. Aramayo also won the EE Rising Star Award that night; I Swear was nominated for Outstanding British Film but lost to Hamnet.
