Teen from Los Angeles and Florida named finalists in 'Stuck at Prom' duct tape dress contest

Karla Torres, a Los Angeles teen, has made it to the finals of Duck brand's annual Stuck at Prom contest with her one-of-a-kind duct tape prom dress inspired by 18th-century French art. She dedicated 120 hours and used 14 rolls of duct tape to create the dress. The contest awards $10,000 in scholarship money to the winners in each category. Karla hopes to win the scholarship and pursue a career in the fashion industry, serving as an example for her community. Voting is open until July 12.
