Princess Diana's Dress Sets New Auction Record, Selling for $1.1 Million

An evening dress worn by Princess Diana in 1985 has sold at a Hollywood auction for a record-breaking £900,000 ($1.15m), more than 11 times its estimate. The black and blue ballerina-length velvet dress by designer Jacques Azagury was worn by Diana during a royal tour with Prince Charles. The dress, featuring shoulder pads, a blue organza skirt, and a large bow, is now the most expensive dress worn by Diana sold at auction. The identity of the buyer remains unknown.
