Lupita Nyong'o Rocks Silver Breastplate at Tony Awards

Lupita Nyong’o wore a metallic breastplate underneath her tuxedo jacket at the Tony Awards, created by Pakistani artist and designer Misha Japanwala by molding it from Nyong’o’s own body. Nyong’o thanked Japanwala for the opportunity to celebrate her body and reject external shame. The breastplate was strikingly realistic and Nyong’o described the experience of wearing it as “shameless” and an “out-of-body experience.”
