Alex Consani Makes History as First Transgender 'Model of the Year'

Alex Consani, a 21-year-old TikTok influencer and Petaluma High School graduate, has made history as the first openly transgender person to win the British Fashion Council's Model of the Year award. Consani, who has 4 million TikTok followers, was recognized for her significant impact on the fashion industry over the past year. In her acceptance speech, she honored Black transgender pioneers and encouraged parental support for transgender children. Consani's career, which began with signing to IMG Models at 15, has included walking for major fashion labels and becoming the first openly trans model in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
