A-List Actors Unite to Demand Transformative Deal, Threaten Strike

Hundreds of actors, including Quinta Brunson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Rami Malek, have signed an open letter urging SAG-AFTRA leadership not to settle for a weak deal with the AMPTP. The letter calls for better minimum wages, improved healthcare, a new residual payment model for streaming, and more control over the use of AI tools in the industry. SAG-AFTRA members have already voted in favor of authorizing a strike if their concerns are not addressed in the new labor contract, which expires on June 30th.
