Singer Melissa Schuman Sues Nick Carter for Sexual Assault and Battery.

Melissa Schuman, a former member of the girl group Dream, is suing Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter for sexual assault and battery, alleging that he forcibly performed oral sex on her and took her virginity in 2002 when she was 18 and he was 22. Schuman had previously accused Carter of the same in 2017, but the D.A.'s office declined to prosecute. Carter has denied all allegations and sued Schuman for $2.3 million earlier this year, claiming she had been trying to extort money from him for years.
