The auction of Princess Diana's "Swan Lake Suite" jewelry set, which includes a necklace and earrings, has been called off after it was privately sold to a prominent museum. The necklace, which Diana wore to a performance of the ballet Swan Lake in 1997, features 178 diamonds and five South Sea pearls. The set was designed by Diana in collaboration with the royal family's crown jewelry David Thomas and was intended to be a gift from her then-boyfriend, Dodi Fayed. The set has been sold multiple times, with a portion of the proceeds going to charity.
