Nintendo and Universal team up for highly anticipated Zelda movie adaptation.

Universal and Illumination are reportedly in the final stages of closing a "big deal" with Nintendo for a Legend of Zelda animated movie, according to film critic Jeff Sneider. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the success of the Super Mario Bros. movie suggests that Nintendo is keen to explore more movie adaptations of its IPs. Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has expressed interest in a Link movie, but his enthusiasm alone may not be enough to make it happen.
