"NCIS: LA Series Finale Delivers Happy Endings and New Beginnings"

The series finale of NCIS: Los Angeles focused on giving the characters a happy ending, with Callen and Anna getting married, Kensi and Deeks finding out they're having a baby, Rountree getting a settlement, and Sam getting promising news about his dad's medical trial. The final case was secondary to the character arcs. The series ends with Callen and Hanna traveling to Morocco to search for Hetty and reuniting with old colleagues. Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill wanted to leave the fans in a good place and give a nod to the past and future.
