Hollywood's Writers Strike: DGA Contract Deal Not Enough

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) has reached a deal with the AMPTP, which has disappointed writers who were hoping for solidarity between the three largest unions in Hollywood. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) has been picketing Universal on the sidewalk, but the studio tore it up, leading to a show-of-force picket outside the studio. The WGA has also set up picket lines in Atlanta, Georgia, and writers are picketing Apple stores as part of the #BadApple movement. SAG-AFTRA's strike-authorization vote ends today, and they are currently seen as the hero of the show.
