"Handmaid's Tale" Showrunner Shifts Focus to Sequel Spinoff for Final Season.

Bruce Miller, the showrunner of Hulu's Emmy-winning drama The Handmaid's Tale, has handed over day-to-day oversight of the series to longtime writers and exec producers Eric Tuchman and Yahlin Chang for the sixth and final season. Miller will focus on developing The Testaments, author Margaret Atwood's sequel to Handmaid's Tale. Tuchman and Chang will take over the everyday decision-making on the flagship series, with Miller still highly involved and writing two episodes of the season. MGM has extended its overall deal with Tuchman as part of the agreement.
