Chris Evans Rejoins Marvel for 'Avengers: Doomsday'

Chris Evans is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday," though the specifics of his role remain unclear. Evans, who previously portrayed Steve Rogers/Captain America, recently appeared as Johnny Storm in "Deadpool and Wolverine." Anthony Mackie will continue as the new Captain America, Sam Wilson, in both "Captain America: Brave New World" and "Avengers: Doomsday." Robert Downey Jr. will also return, taking on the role of Dr. Doom. The film is scheduled to begin shooting early next year and release on May 1, 2026.
