Lawsuit Alleges Disturbing Conditions at Kanye West's Donda Academy, Including Sushi-Only Diet and Unlawful Educational Practices

Two former teachers at Kanye West's Donda Academy, the performer's Christian K-12 school, have filed a lawsuit against West and others alleging unsafe, unregulated, and unsanitary conditions at the school. The teachers, who were the only two Black female teachers at the school, were fired after voicing concerns over the conditions to administrators. The women are suing West for retaliation, wrongful termination, discrimination, and withheld wages. The school lacked structure, and West demanded certain rules be strictly enforced, including students dressing entirely in black and eating only sushi every school day.
