YNW Melly Faces Witness Tampering Charges in Double-Murder Case

Rapper YNW Melly has been charged with witness tampering in connection to his ongoing double-murder case. Authorities allege that Melly and his codefendant YNW Bortlen communicated through another inmate to dissuade a witness from testifying against Melly. Bortlen was also charged with witness tampering. Both rappers are awaiting separate trials for the murders of two individuals in 2018. Melly's first trial ended in a mistrial, while Bortlen's trial is scheduled to begin in January 2024.
