Susan Smith, who is nearing parole after serving nearly 30 years for drowning her two young sons, has reportedly told one of her suitors that she would make a "good stepmom." Smith, who initially claimed a carjacking by a Black man, later admitted to letting her car roll into a lake with her children inside. While some men have reached out to her while she's been in prison, her ex-husband opposes her release and believes she belongs behind bars. Smith's first parole hearing is scheduled for November 2024.
