Investigation launched into death of actress who accused Gerard Depardieu of sexual assault

French authorities are investigating the death of actress Emmanuelle Debever, who accused Gérard Depardieu of sexual misconduct. Debever, who worked with Depardieu in the film "Danton," died in Paris last week after jumping into the Seine River. The death has been classified as a suicide. Debever was among the first women to accuse Depardieu, and in 2019, she posted on Facebook accusing him of trying to grope her during the shoot. Depardieu has denied all allegations.
