'Home Improvement' Actor Zachery Ty Bryan Strikes Plea Deal, Avoids Prison for Felony Assault Charge

Former child star Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role in Home Improvement, has pleaded guilty to felony assault in the fourth degree constituting domestic violence. As part of a negotiated resolution, Bryan will receive 36 months of supervised probation, seven days in jail, and must adhere to conditions typical of domestic violence cases. These conditions include no contact with the victim without probation officer approval, alcohol and substance abuse treatment, and no alcohol or drug use. Bryan's legal troubles also include previous DUI arrests and a breach of contract lawsuit.
