Ex-lawyer stays vocal in defense of Nick Reiner as murder case unfolds

Nick Reiner’s former attorney Alan Jackson says he will continue to defend him in public discourse and push for the most robust defense in the two-count first-degree murder case over the December killings of his parents; Jackson withdrew from the case before the Jan. 7 arraignment, noting that he cannot disclose reasons for withdrawal, while the public defender’s office will handle the defense going forward. Reiner reportedly has a history of substance abuse and schizoaffective disorder.
