Cuba Gooding Jr. settles civil sexual assault case out of court.

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has settled a $6 million lawsuit accusing him of raping a woman in a New York hotel in 2013, just before the trial was set to begin. Gooding's lawyers claimed the sex was consensual, but the accuser, identified only as Jane Doe, alleged that he pushed her to the bed and raped her. The woman had been pursuing the case anonymously, but last week Judge Paul Crotty ruled that she would need to reveal her name at the trial. Gooding has faced similar accusations from dozens of women, and three women were set to testify at the trial.
