British Model and Family Kidnapped in Brazil Hostage Ordeal

New York-based model Luciana Curtis, her husband Henrique Gendre, and their child were kidnapped at gunpoint in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and held hostage for 12 hours in a shack. The family was ambushed by armed men after leaving a restaurant, forced into their car, and had money transferred from their bank accounts. They were eventually freed after their eldest child, who was not with them, alerted relatives. The family is now safe, and the gang fled during a police search.
