Benjamin Ackerman, a member of the infamous "Bling Ring" group, has been convicted on three counts of first-degree residential burglary for his involvement in the multimillion-dollar burglaries of celebrities' homes in Southern California. Ackerman, who targeted high-end homes by posing as a buyer or agent at open houses, was found in possession of 2,000 stolen items including jewelry, art, handbags, and wine. He had previously pleaded no contest to multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit money laundering and money laundering. Ackerman plans to appeal the conviction, citing significant errors of law. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 19.
