Allison Mack, Nxivm cult member, released early from prison

US actor Allison Mack has been released early from prison after serving two years for her involvement in a sex-trafficking case linked to the Nxivm cult. Mack, known for her role in Smallville, pleaded guilty to racketeering and conspiracy charges in 2019 for recruiting women to the group. Nxivm, a self-help program turned cult, was led by Keith Raniere, who was sentenced to 120 years in prison. Mack's sentence was reduced after providing evidence against Raniere. She apologized for her actions and expressed regret for involving others in the group.
