Disney Settles with Magic Key-holders for $9.5 Million Over Restricted Access

Disney has agreed to pay $9.5 million in settlements to Magic Key pass holders who were unable to access the parks on certain dates, despite the promise of no blackout dates. The class action lawsuit, filed by Jenale Nielsen, alleged that thousands of people were impacted. The proposed settlement, which requires approval from a judge, would provide individual payments of $67.41 to over 100,000 class members. The payment falls short of covering even one standard theme park ticket, and impacted individuals may have to wait several months to receive a check.
