Casa Bonita's Renovation Costs Soar to $40 Million.

The renovation cost to restore and reopen the iconic restaurant Casa Bonita is estimated to be "upward of $40 million," according to owners Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The initial estimate was $12 million, but as construction mounted, so too did the bill. The renovation included fixing dangerous conditions, investing in new equipment, and building four new bars. Stone and Parker said they spent so much restoring it, like a piece of art, and the investment was closer to "infinity dollars."
