WGA Awards Nominations Spotlight 2026's Screenplay Contenders

Nominees for the 2026 Writers Guild Awards have been released, with original nominees Black Bag, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Marty Supreme, Sinners and Weapons, and adapted nominees Bugonia, Frankenstein, Hamnet, One Battle After Another and Train Dreams. In TV, Andor, Pluribus, The Pitt and The Studio lead with multiple nominations. Winners will be announced March 8 in New York and Los Angeles, with Atsuko Okatsuka hosting the LA ceremony; Don Reo will receive the Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award and Stephen Colbert will be honored with the Walter Bernstein Award.
