Tricia Tuttle Takes the Helm as Director of Berlin Film Festival

Tricia Tuttle has been appointed as the new director of the Berlin Film Festival, taking over from Mariette Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian in April 2024. Tuttle, who previously led the London Film Festival, was chosen by a selection committee chaired by German Culture Minister Claudia Roth. The festival is also undergoing a restructuring, reducing the size of its program and eliminating certain competition strands. The announcement comes after controversy surrounding Chatrian's departure and the festival's decision to return to a single director model.
