'Brokeback Mountain' Rides Again as a Musical Play in London's West End

"Brokeback Mountain" has been adapted for the stage for the first time in a new West End production. The play follows the story of a cowboy and a ranch hand falling in love in 1960s Wyoming, as originally depicted in Annie Proulx's 1997 short story and the 2005 Academy Award-winning film adaptation. The play features BAFTA-nominated actor Mike Faist and Oscar-nominated actor Lucas Hedges in the lead roles, and includes music to convey the characters' emotional landscapes. The production aims to remind audiences that homophobia still exists and that the fight against it is not over.
