Biden honors Springsteen, Louis-Dreyfus, Kaling, Knight, and more with National Medals of Arts.

President Joe Biden will present the 2021 National Medals of Arts and National Humanities Medals to a list of recipients, including Bruce Springsteen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mindy Kaling, and others, during a ceremony at the White House. The National Medals of Arts are the highest award given to artists and arts patrons by the U.S. government, and the recipients are selected based on their outstanding contributions to the arts in the United States. The National Endowment for the Humanities supports and rewards learning in history, literature, philosophy, and other areas of the humanities.
