Amazon Driver Survives Venomous Rattlesnake Bite During Florida Delivery

An Amazon delivery driver in Florida is in "very serious condition" after being bitten by a highly venomous rattlesnake while making a delivery. The driver was attacked by the Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake as she approached the front door of a home. She immediately called 911 and was taken to the hospital. The driver's name and age have not been released. Amazon is investigating the incident and reminding drivers not to complete deliveries if they feel unsafe. The Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake is common in Florida and has enough venom to kill five people. The Florida Poison Control Center advises victims to seek medical attention rather than applying a tourniquet or attempting to suck out the venom.
