"Teen Mistakenly Boards Flight to Puerto Rico Instead of Ohio"

A 16-year-old flying alone on Frontier Airlines mistakenly boarded a flight at the same gate in Tampa that was headed to Puerto Rico instead of the intended destination of Cleveland, Florida. The teen was returned to Tampa and then flown to the correct destination the next day. Frontier Airlines apologized for the incident and noted that while they allow minors aged 15 and older to fly alone, they do not offer an escort service. This event occurred shortly after a similar incident involving a six-year-old on a Spirit Airlines flight.
